I met this woman who claimed to be bipolar but I think maybe closer to histrionic, she seemed to go through this pattern especially in relationships:-

-Met a person/any person
-Showers them with praise and love/Very flirty
-Gets tied up in sexual relationships
-Constant contact by text and phone
-Move on to someone else and tells you so/Loses interest
-Person confronts them and she gets easily hurt
-Cuts off contact and tells friends they are a nutcase to gain attention

Don't get me wrong it was me who got involved with her sexually so I do take responsibility. However it has happended before, she is divorced with 3 kids and she slags off her ex-husband something rotten and were together for 14 years. Thing is I could of stayed with her to be friends but she would of made it very hard for me due to her nature

Nothing there sounds like bipolar. Borderline Personality Disorder, maybe, but not bipolar.

It sounds to me that even if this woman is bipolar, she is using her disease as an excuse for the bad way she treats people. My daughter has been diagnosed as being bipolar and although she certainly has her ups and downs, it has in no way affected the way she treats others (ok, except maybe for the easily hurt portion that you mentioned.) Although ending a relationship is always hard, this probably was the best thing for you. Good luck!

I see you- Everybody, this is the third time this guy has asked a question and the inside of the text has this same little list. He is not serious. Or he is TOO serious, you pick. Dude, stop playing games. You sound more disturbed than the woman you are describing.

It sounds like she has a commitment issue and also she's hung up on her ex. She's hated him for so long that she doesn't know how to stop hating him, and it's hurting her future relationships. I saw the same thing with my mother and father. She hadn't seen him for 20 years and I forced her to see him. Finally she has come to peace with what has happened between them and now they actually talk and she' no longer bitter. It sounds to me that she needs to let go and move on.

She might be a dual diagnosis. She definitely sounds like she definitely has some kind of issues. If she's that messed up, be glad your rid of her.
