Me and my boyfriend have probably said either Cannonball by Damien Rice or Seize the Day - Avenged Sevenfold.

What would yours be and why?

It would either be Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden; Don't Wanna miss a thing by Aerosmith or Kiss me by The Cardigans. These are because these songs are the first ones we ever danced to (being a dancer & all that) on the day we met & also because we shared our first kiss during the 1st song (written up there) so it has a lot of memories in it for both myself & my partner. Plus, Don't wanna miss a thing was playing in the background when he proposed to me. I know that is so sickly sweet/cheesy, but it means a lot to us so we'd probably have one of those.

I'm getting wed in two weeks and our song is 'Freebird' by Lynyrd Skynyrd - which starts off as a slow smooth smoochy melody and then, halfway through, suddenly cannonballs into some hard rock that you can really head-bang to.
It should be fun - I'm loving thinking about what people's reaction is going to be.
Wish me luck!

We had a whirlwind wedding & no reception, but I have to say that my daughter's pick for the Father/Daughter dance (she was more traditional--we were early-'70's non-conformists), which was the duet of Natalie Cole and Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable" is, in my opinion, the perfect wedding song. Simple, elegent, timeless, and what better expressed the feelings of that moment as the line "That's why, darling, it's incredible, that someone so unforgettable thinks that I'm unforgettable too" sung as a duet?

I'll Be-Edwin McCain
Unbelievable-Craig David

My (now ex) wife and got married to the beautiful and utterly gorgeous "Teardrop" by Massive Attack. We really wanted to play Closer by Nine Inch Nails but elderly relatives might not have understood, hehe. That's more of a wedding NIGHT tune, if you follow me.

Ours is one of two - REO Speedwagon - Keep on Loving You!! silly song - one that most won't recall - but it played in the pub once and my fella sang it to me all corny and silly - so the song just tickles us!! or we would have David Gray - because when we listened to it in our first year together and it says "this years love is here to last" we knew it would and it has - so it really does mean something!!!

You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes
You might just find
You get what you need....

Oh, yes indeed! What I wanted in a man (tall, blonde, cultured, intellectual) and I what I needed turned out to be kind of different (not so tall, dark, loving, madman)...
