I was trying to think of a better way you could have worded your question ~ because, any skill or information you hold in between your ears 'can sometimes' be a burden as there will always be someone wanting you to fix their car / broken leg / fallen book case etc when all you want to do is to finish that chapter / book or get the weight off of your feet.
As for the consequences of what someone finds out! There are no 'consequences' to the acquisition of information or knowledge. There can only be consequences should the individual chooses to act upon it in some way.

Yes, it is tiring. I spent most of my childhood years playing 'retard' or stupid because it made my life so much easier. As soonb as I was tested as having a higher than normal intelligence level, I started acting stupid. I didn't want to be smart.
It wasn't very interesting though and disinterest while it may not be a burden like knowledge is certainly depressing. Now, I'm confused. I'm trying to find a balance between being bored and living up to this sort of intellectual expectation. I'm smart enough to know better, but I'm too stupid to figure out how to be stupid or adverage without being depressed. Make sense? I envy the adverage mind and it makes me hate them while wanting to be like them.

Yes because if people view you as smart, and most people view me as intelligent, it becomes a label you have to live up to no matter what. You're not entitled to make the same mistakes as other people because 'you know better' and it can be frustrating, people look up to you to be mature and a leader and to be basically perfect, because the great minds should technically evolve the human race to the next step ....but it can just be a bit draining sometimes.
Ignornace is bliss in a way, definitely.

the "burden" is just like the very very thin line between positive and negative.
but "it" is more like a responsibility.
as such, as more and more people get to have more knowledge, they must know it comes with responsibility as heaven will catch up with anyone who strays away.
ps: i have been repeating and repeating about it.
just hope most people understands the meaning of it.
i don't want to see another tsunami just like any average person don't want to.
but there are such things as miracles and they do happen.
so far, i understand there are 16 realms and i am wondering if there are still more realms.
i have sinned before and don't want people to make the same mistakes.
nobody is perfect. but at least one must try to make amends.

Knowledge can definatly be a burden.
I was recently told that my partners father was having an affair behind his wifes back (my partners mother). To this day he denies it and i recently found out from a close friend of the new wife (accidently) that he was having an affair.
I was stuck, on the one hand do i tell my partner and cause him unnecessary pain and hurt? Or do i just keep this info to myself. Secrets aren't a part of our relationship but i never wanted him to find out, as i love him and dont want to hurt him.
Knowledge is DEFINATELY a burden at times.

Are you talking about knowing a secret or about being knowledgeable? If its about finding out a secret, it can seem a burden...the only thing you can ask yourself is "Is this MY story to tell?". If its about having knowledge, you might ask why the other person might be interested?

Knowledge is only a burden when people aren't willing to learn from the knowledge you're trying to pass on.
I mean, people are never willing to learn from anyone about anything that is essential to saving themselves.

No.I think that the RIGHT kind of knowledge-the knowledge that the universe will solve all problems-actually gets rid of ALL problems.Just really really imagine how happy &carefree you'd be without these problems and they WILL dissipate into nothing.

knowledge and. more so, intellect are definitely a burden.
People who don't know much about the world and only think a day ahead, or what to have for dinner tonight, seem so much happier than those of us that know whats really happening.
The world is in chaos, famine reigns, there is world military unrest, we are heading to an environmental catastrophe....."oh, thats nice, who should i vote for on x-factor, and do you want fries with that ?"

Yes I totally agree! I work in a very technical role at work, and it seems that just because I know how to do something they automatically think it's my responsibility! Even on things that are nothing to do with my actual job responsibilities!
Sometimes it's better to act 'dumb'.
