i'm generally talking about the filipino guys in southern CA.
maybe ghetto and "nerds" just describe the ones at my school so don't take offense or anything. don't you dare say i'm stereotyping because it's true, they speak/act ghetto or their heads are shoved in books all the time. some of them are nice though.

because those filipino guys who speak ghetto are not true pinoys! only those who are proud to be pinoy should be called pinoy. Theres nothing wrong wth the filipinos who are "nerds".... filipinos love learning and they are just being hard working...

because the Philippines is a poor/ghetto country in most parts so they or their families came from there and the parents like most immigrants want their kids to be smart and not waste the opportunity their kids have maybe not recently but in the past people would have to bribe government officials to get out of the country with their family or "speed up" the process too
