yes......... it has little to do with us, believe it or not...
he was found guilty in an Iraqi court by Iraqi people and the law in Iraq is the death penalty for these sort of crimes.... its was his country, his rules... if he was tried in the UK, there is no way he could have had the death penalty

NO.
He should be given a fair trail in an International court alongside Bush and Blair (Rumsfeld, Wolfavits, Cheyney)
A good basis of questions to begin with would be:
Who killed the most Iraqi's.
Who supplied the conventional weapons to Iraq.
Who supplied the Chemical weapons to Iraq.
Who has stolen all the Iraqi oil since 1991 and 2003.
Who ignored the UN charter and made a preemptive attack on a sovereign country.
Who lied to the UN about the Iraqi military capability (WMD)
Who provoked the Iran - Iraq War
Who should be hung??

He deserves to be hung but the sad fact is that he would then become a martyr, and the memory of a martyr is stronger than the memory of a common prisoner. Inevitably there would be more acts of terrorism committed because of the anger generated by his execution. While he's alive, he can be used by the Western world as a propaganda machine, e.g. pleading for peace in Iraq, etc., which might make a difference or influence some of the terrorists - but when he's dead I fear there will be a severe and terrifying backlash.
If there's a God then I'm sure he'll get his due punishment anyway

Why are so many people so bothered about other peoples spelling... How sad... why dont they just answer your question. Do they think your going to go in the corner, cry and get extra spelling lessons?
Well im not sure either way as part of me feels like he lived by the sword so should die by the sword and that is the law of his land and he has killed loads of people. But on the other hand if he stays in jail for many years and suffers as the jails in that country you dont get sky tv and able to play pool all day and have a laugh... so if he suffers for many years maybe that the best ending.

If Saddam is executed for his crimes, then the world should examine the actions of George Bush very closely also - sending soldiers to their deaths based on lies. In fact, the pair should be either hanged alongside one another (a great photo opportunity) or do hard labour chained together - they would probably find that they have a lot in common.

No... i dont... to be honest hanging would be too quick and easy for him... (he's after an easy way out of this anyway)
YES i think he should face the death penalty but i much prefer the idea of shackeling him to a wall and have him stoned to death apart from just as he's on the edge of dying he then be hung and quartered... at least that way he will get a glimpse of the pain and suffering he caused to others...

Tony Blair says that the war in Iraq was worth it in order to take Saddam out of power and charge him. He also says that he should not be executed. How then can he justify killing innocent people in order to arrest Saddam when a death sentence is not appropriate. Should the innocent people of Iraq not been given the same consideration?

the information comments have reported that the unbelievable has taken place. i'm basically thinking if that's actual or no longer. no count number if that's actual, why do they only tutor the video of the noose going around his neck? Why is there no video of the definitely unbelievable? Do you bear in mind the video clips of countless human beings being beheaded? If those video clips may be shown, WHY no longer tutor Saddam being hanged?

They don't normally execute heads of state. And ironically, he is probably the only person who could return Iraq to stability.
He was a very, very bad man and he should die. But the execution will probably be timed to coincide with "prime time" television in the USA. What a world we are living in.
Bush, Rumsfeld etc are also guilty of condoning torture- let's never forget that. Look at the horrors the americans committed in Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo etc.

Well I always get told I'm well hung and it's never been much of punishment for me ;)
However I think as a deterent I believe in it, I also think if he doesn't get executed it will cost 10s of millions of pounds to keep him alive and secured, and I don't think he's worth it - sanctity of life or not.. I am not religious so I am not biased, but if I was I still believe he deserves to die.. Any murderers do....... Especially where burden of proof has been removed or proved beyond a doubt...

What was the point in putting this man on trial, when his fate and guilt had already been decided? Hang him?? Why??
What would it achieve? Nothing good, that is for sure. Hanging Saddam will ignite a civil war in Iraq, such as the world has never seen before.
