To have everything is not the answer to life. Since time immemorial, some hermits, prophets, teachers, philosophers try to seek an answer to this basic question.
Few might have gained some "insight" or so-called "enlightenment", and advised that true happiness is through seeking contentment. Therefore, it is not a matter of more or less, but be satisfied with what you have. Through stories, we come across characters who seek for happiness, and ultimately realised that what they have searching is actually in their backyard.
Look at things from a different perspective. Learn to love life and live it to the fullest - live it well (and not crave to live luxuriously).
Greed is wanting more of what we have, and it breeds jealousy,
ambition (in a negative connotation), competition, etc. Why not learn to let go a little, and be more comfortable?

No,not Greed,humanity seeks to satisfy the longing in our hearts, to know our self. The essence of our being, is Unconditional Love.When we quit searching outside & then finally enter our own heart, we find that we have unity with God, in our own heart,in Unconditional Love.Having attained our purpose, we then can do our supreme duty, of expressing that unconditional love,serving God & all that he has created.

that's true...
because human are insatiable in nature....meaning we ask for more,,we want more and more even if we have had enough...but we,,as human beings,as creations of God were not really meant to be contented wiht all those things in this world because we are meant to have some more...our life in this world is just a temporary assignment..God prepared a home for those who believe in Him...this world is imperfect where...God created us for eternity..so we are discontented with what we have because we are meant to have some more...but not material things...
