Deductive method is one of the simplest methods on the planet to use, and very useful!
The deductive method states that you simply take ALL the possible answers.
Then you check the answers one by one, to see if they make sense, or are true/correct.
If they arent, you check them off one by one, until you find the right one! (making sure to check them ALL, even if you think you found it before checking them all)
A good example is taking a stick and a test that asks "is the stick 4, 5, or 6 inches long?"
All ya gotta do is measure 4'', if wrong, cross out, then 5, and then six
Thats what the deductive method is :)
Hope i helped!

Deductive method is a method used in education which you first draw an conclusion or a general idea... then you divide it into smaller parts.....
for Example........ Nouns (Main Topic)
this may include: Proper Nouns and Common Nouns.....
Then in Proper nouns you also have division; and in Common Nouns there are also divisons...... i hop you understand a little of my explanation............
Deductive Method is effectively used if you know the techniques and the topics call for it...... because you start with a general picture.... you need to see to it that you have all the basic facts and figures that would support your main idea..... be careful because sometimes there are students who already have known something on the topic... so watch out for those tricky questions the students may ask... good luck!!!!
Happy Teaching!!!!

Yes, the deductive method is effective to use, especially on standardized tests. It allows you to narrow down the answers or options available using common sense. Usually on a multiple choice question with four possible answer, only two are logical. This can dramatically improve one's test taking skills. It can also be used in life, when decision making is important.

Deductive method is reasoning in which the conclusion is necessitated by, or reached from, previously known facts. If the premises are true, the conclusion must be true. This is distinguished from abductive and inductive reasoning, where the premises may predict a high probability of the conclusion, but do not ensure that the conclusion is true.
It's effective because somebody could say, "Since it is raining, the street must be wet". However, there is a hidden argument in this statement: "If it's raining then the street gets wet." Using the premise "If it's raining then the street gets wet" one could argue that "Since it's raining the street is wet" but not "the street is wet so it must be raining".

Its where you have a list of possable answers to a problem which only has one solution. You use your knowledge and available evidence and information to eliminate answers which are incorrect until the correct answer is the only one left.
This method is not only effective to use it is neccesary. People since the dawn of man have been using it and it will always be in use. Police use it to eliminate suspects, Scientists use it to find explanations for new discoveries. Mechanics use it to diagnose a broken down car.
Example
Who killed alexander hamilton?
George washington
George bush
aaron burr
or
Napoleon
George washington was never charged with murder
George bush was not alive during hamiltons time
Napoleon never traveled to america
Therefore aaron burr killed alexander hamilton
