can cemetedine tab lead to impotency?

Question

i was taking thisdrug for five years to treat heart burn. I was observing impaired sexual drive. Lately, an other doctor warned me of its danger and prescribed me an other tab.

Cimetidine has antiandrogenic action (displaces dihydrotestosterone from its cytoplasmic receptor), increases plasma prolactin and inhibits degradation of estradiol by liver. High doses given for long periods have produced gynaecomastia, loss of libido, impotence and temporary decrease in sperm count.....

This side effect of cimetidine is very rare and, when it does occur, it reverts to normal when you stop taking it.
