All computer manufacturers have web sites and they will gladly sell upgrades. It would be a good thing to go to PC magazine and check out the tech forums to ask questions. Also try TechTV site or some of the Yahoo computer groups.
HP also has a toll free phone number so you can talk to a tech there, but remember, they are in the business to sell you their products.

www.crucial.com for RAM. That should also tell you what kind of motherboard you have, and just use that to find what kind of graphics cards you can use. I recommend against buying from HP; they'll charge you a lot more, claiming that it "ensures compatibility." Really, if you find the right thing, it hardly matters whether it says HP on it or not.
