Endometriosis makes it VERY hard to conceive but it can be done. It's best if you try soon after your surgery when you are the most free from adhesions and cysts. They will probably prescribe a birth control pill for you to regulate your periods and slow down the progress of endometrial growths from recurring. Take this for about 3 to 6 months after your surgery and then try to get pregnant. If possible, ask for depro provera, it's a birth control injection you get like every 3 months (?). It stops you from having mentrual periods which is good for women with endometriosis, because the periods are so painfull anyway. Keep in mind though, that because you have this disease, it never goes away and will continue to bother you more as it progresses throught the years. So if there is any possibility at all of you conceiving it has to be done while you are still young and after having the surgery is best time to try. Let your doctor know you want to conceive and he can prescribe a medicine (they are also given by injections) that will slow the growth of the endometriosis and allow time for your pelvic area to heal. It has awful side effects like nausea, fatigue etc, but is worth it to take if pregnancy is your goal. Good luck. I've been there, know exactly what you are going through!

Well, the recurrence will be less and further out if you consider talking to your doctor about Depot Lupron. This drug slows the progression of the disease. However, it's a 6 month treatment and you wouldn't get pregnant in those 6 months. If you want, please get pregnant now, as pregnancy also slows the progression of the disease.
