Start with webmonkey.com or HTMLgoodies.com and go from there.
HTML, CSS, Javascript, and once you have the hang of that I recommend getting into PHP & MySQL, they're the industry standards right now.
Flash is all right for art sites, or depending on your clients, and it works with PHP, Flash is great fun, but it won;t bring you a lot of money, generally.
One can give you tips for a good looking site, but few understand or use good design. Ya can't criticize how a site looks until you've built one that looks and works better.
Remember: Just because the technology is there doesn't mean you have to use it.
