Yes, assuming you mean Newcastle in the UK. You will probably need your debit/credit card details to guarrentee the vehicle. I've used Cars R Us in the past, cheaper than the usual Hertz etc and they took payment in cash. A quick search will lead you to their site.

You could try local companies......all national companies who are likely to be based at the airport will require a credit card. This is authorised for the rental amount plus a deposit for fuel and incase the car is returned damaged (at Hertz it depends whether you take out the supercover insurance SCDW). The final payment is taken when the car is returned and some locations do accept payment by cash. However, the credit card is required at the start of the rental for security purposes. It is possible to use someone else's credit car providing the credit card holder is with you to sign the documentation as they are in effect 'the renter' and then you can be a named driver which will incur an additional daily charge.

Hi, Mobile phone - Credit Card Petrol - Credit Card Car Expenses - Credit Card & Cash Shopping - Credit Card Air tickets - Credit Card Hotels - Credit Card Dinning - Credit Card & Cash Small expenses - Cash Credit Card payment - cheque or online internet transfer (NEFT/RTGS) Now u r wondering that why I PAY BY CREDIT CARD - I paid always after my billing date as I got 30days period untill statement generate + get 20days as payment due date is after 20 days of statement generation date. Thats means if I paid something by credit card on 1 Apr 2009 then 30 Apr 2009 my bill will generate & have to pay my bills till 20 May 2009 thats means I can use my money till 50days in other things. NOTE: never ever use you debit card for any shopping as credit card fake Transaction can be recall as it's a credit facility which bank gave you BUT once your money went out from your DEBIT card, bank has no liability to recall/reversal of fake transaction.

I doubt it very much , car hire companies take a "frank" of you credit card to cover the possibility of you running up any excesses on the hire cost , such as fuel , damage or even parking tickets . basically no credit card no car hire
