9/8c means 9:00 EST (Eastern Standard Time), which is like New York, Boston, Philadelphia, etc... and 8:00 CST (Central Standard Time) which is Chicago and the rest of the Midwest. Basically, it's just differentiating the time zones, so that it will play at the same time, but the clock will read differently depending on where you live. I'm not sure but I think this would mean it was on sometime in the middle of the night for you or in the early morning.

It refers to US timezones. Central time gets the Eastern feed, which is broadcast one hour earlier than it is on the coast. The Pacific and Mountain, Hawaii & Alaskan zones each have their own feeds, so Desperate Housewives is on at 9pm everywhere but the Central time zone, where it's one hour earlier.

It's the time. North America has a number of timezones. The show will be aired at 9PM Eastern Time, and at 8PM Central Time, which is at the same time.

It's on on sunday at 9p.m. which is 8 p.m. central time. you know how if somethings on at 9 eastern (east coast) it's on on 8 central, 7 mountain (sometimes central and mountain time are combined) and 7 pacific (west coast).
What time zone ur in makes it what time you should be watching: 9 on the east coast, 8 central time, etc.

its the time that it airs.
we have 4 time zones in the continental US
if a show starts at 9 on the east coast then it is starting at 8 in the central time zone, hence the c.
