My daughter took 4ou every 2 hrs, sometimes sooner. But I breastfeed, and it is digested easier and faster.Talk to your doctor if you're concerned. Every baby is different.

i would consult a physician or someone skilled and informed in this area or one of the many professional websites about children. I have a 1 yr old girl and my wife breast fed her, she drank about 4oz. about every two hours, i would suggest breast feeding the child(promotes better growth and health). You could also go to your local bookstore and purchase any baby book by Dr. Sears, those books are very helpful

When your baby is full, she will stop drinking the bottle..
I work at a child care center, and recently i have seen a 6 week old baby, that eats rice cereal, cause he is always hungery.. The mom just makes it pretty watery, and puts in a med suringe, and feeds it to him like that.. just a little bit..
sometimes formula is not enough..
I hope that this helps!
good luck, and congrats on the new baby!

a baby needs to eat every two hours, this is because milk do not stay that much in the stomache like solids, they immediateldy turn into liquids and the baby urinate more often. my baby drinks two bottle of milk every two and a half hours plus a bowl of cereal. i think its time you introduce solids to your baby. you should not wait two hours before you can give the baby food, why not give him snacks in between meals. rusks and uncooked peeled carrots are the best if the baby is able to eat on his or her own, alternative give him rooibos tea instead of squash, to help his or her bones grow stronger. or you can smash beans with a little pasta and give the baby to eat. he is more hungry because milk is not enough for him, and do not stay in the body for long. good luck with your question.
