I have 2 kids in the military, so I don't get to see them much, they each have children, and I would like to see my grandchildren, and have them see me too, just to say hello,I am missing out on so much of their lives.(my kids have computers/internet).They sell web cams in the walmart here where I live, one brand has 2 in a pack....does anyone know if this is possible for me to do, and/or what kind of product to buy, and/or how to do it? I would so greatly appreciate the help!!!!!

I found my GE Easy Cam, from Target. All you have to do is download the software disc, that comes with it and then plug the web cam, into one of the USB Ports, on the front or back of the computer tower. Images on my monitor move at differant speeds. It helped me, to have a broadband internet connection.I bought some brand ( can't remember the brand) from Walmart but, it made me look red, on my monitor. Most of the ones I have seen my friends have, look like a ball with a lens.

Logitech is a good brand, but any web cam can do what you are looking for, though as I first said, most times you cant go wrong with Logitech brands. It is very simple, usually they are USB, depending on how old your pc is, if it was made within the last four years, you should be ok. Basically before you plug the web cam in, install the software/drivers with the cd provided. It will then either ask you to reboot or plug the webcam in. If it asks to reboot(restart) the pc, do so, then after windows comes up, just plug the webcam in and it will automatically detect and install. The usb should be on the back of the pc, and it is pretty easy to tell where it plugs into, just look at the web cam plug and match it with where it plugs into. Then just go to start--->programs---> and look for the software that was installed from the cd. If you need anymore help please feel free to contact me and I will do my best!

It is definitely possible. If you want to see them and you want them to see you, the best way to do it is just buy yourself a webcam, and them one too. Just send it to them and then get yahoo messenger (it has good webcam capabilities). Tell them to get it also. Get each other's screennames and then you're pretty much good to go. As far as which webcam to get, Logitech is a good brand. You can get them at Wal-Mart. I work at Staples and they have them too. Even inexpensive ones are pretty good these days.

webcams are great. you also have to buy a head set, with a micraphone and a speaker to be able to speak to them. it is great as you can see them as if they are next to you.
i prefere logitech. they are good, very easy to install and not expensive to buy.
