I'm curious about what the symbol is at the 50 yard line above and below the patriot's head at Gillette Stadium, the New England Patriots stadium. Any ideas?

Its a weird lighthouse. There is a cement lighthouse in one corner of the stadium and it produces a computerized light that will say touchdown, flag, its good etc... I don't know why it looks so demented on the field but its a lighthouse. Go Pats!

According to the Patriots website, a unique feature of Gillette Stadium is the bridge and 12-story high lighthouse above one of the entrances. The symbol on the field is the symbol or icon for the stadium and represents this unique feature.
