i was raped and molested for years by a step sibiling until the time i started my period. when i met my husband i was very open with him about this and he assured me that to him i was still a virgin because it was not my choice to not be. that was very important to me because i had always wanted to only make love to one person who would be my husband. god bless you for even having the courage to discuss this. i never told anyone even my dad until the last few years. honey you a brave soul and if you feel it in your heart than that is all that matters.

Check to see if your hymen is still in tact. If so you were almost certainly not raped (although I've heard of some women keeping their hymens indefinately). If you don't have one still, talk to people who knew you at the time; they should give you an idea of whether your behavior changed. I was raped at the age of three and my parents tell me I went from being generally a happy kid to being very violent and demanding all of a suddon. If you have a history of sexual deviance, that's also a sign that it probably happened, too. I started experimenting sexually before I really even knew what I was doing (around six). So check for those things, and try to remember that even if you were, that's not an excuse to get too upset about it. Perhaps you shouldn't even try to figure out whether you were or not, because if you were you may get depressed. Good luck. :)

Hi. The safest way to do it, is to see a doctor. He could tell you if you are still a virgin from the physical point of view, but remember that since what happened wasn't with your consent, you are still a virgin. No one can rape your soul and that is what matters. Good Luck!

I believe that virginity is experienced through love, and not brutality or what you are describing. You may not physically encompass the qualities that we know make up a virgin, but you can certainly claim your virginity - spiritually that is. You are a virgin spiritually until you choose not to be - that is your choice to give your spiritual virginity to someone you love, in a loving way.

Depending on your age, your hymen may already be broken, so that is not a way to tell if you are a virgin. Your hymen can be broken by the use of tampons and physical activity. The only true way to tell if you are a virgin will be by your memories and if you suffered vaginal penetration when attacked.

Virginity is something that is given not taken. you may have had sex but that does not mean that you lost your virginity. When you are ready you can GIVE your virginity to some one who cares about you
