My lifetime favorite is the horse because I love the power and grace of dressage. Plus horses have a way of getting into your soul. I have worked with horses for 45 years proffesionaly and have a very special bond with them. Most riders and horse owners today develope a master slave relationship with their animals and totally miss out on the love that horses can give in return. I am a man and have been ridiculed for my showing my affection for these magnificent animals. The rewards and blessings that I get back are immense. I also have dogs that I feel the same way about, a Basenji and three Shih Tzu. They all have many worded vocabularies and are such soft and gentle spirits with a plethora of emotions. Both the horses and the dogs show me loyalty and freedom even the horses and dogs I worked with in my chosen proffesion.

If you could see my full avatar, you would see a horse and a wolf next to me.
Horses represent freedom and independence to me. I love to ride even though I don't get to much.
The wolf represents an independent mystical loner. Three words that describe me.

Elephants are powerful yet gentle (unless roused).
They are extremely intelligent.
Their social behaviour is very advanced: they care for each other, and even grieve their dead.
They capture children's imaginations, they're fun to draw, and they make cute characters in stories and adorable stuffed animals.
To me they represent gentleness and compassion.
Plus, sometimes I feel like an elephant: basically gentle, but clumsy, despite the best intentions.

My favorite animal is a dog. Pomeranians to be exact. They are so loyal and loving. I have had two of them and so far they were and are both loyal and loving yet they have totally different personalities.

I really like cats because they're so independent and you don't have to take care of them a lot. Plus, their really smart, so if I had a pet I'd probably get a cat.
