Once I met this girl on Yahoo Personals and flew 7000 miles to rescue her from her country far far away. Now we're married and have one kid and living happily every after.

I've been talking to people in IM for over 5 years, and from the stories I've heard from friends, it seems that there's a very poor chance of anything good happening when you meet someone from the internet. You should talk to the person you plan to meet for at least a few months before agreeing to meet them, and then wait a few more to plan things out. People are often very different in person than they are in real life. There are some exceptions, but they're few in number, so be careful.
And I would not recommend meeting ANYONE if you're under 18.

Ya on YAHOO personals, was just looking for play mate and found one she is pretty cool and we get along real well. We see each other about 3 times a month on weekends sometimes I go there sometimes she comes here. I'm single, 49, and raising a 16 year old Daughter. Gonna Give it a try ? "PEACE"

Of course! I think it is very easy for us to meet an alien man on the Internet. Just because it's web age.
I often meet college students of my age on the Internet in my country through the web called "xiaonei". Pretty good.

yes we talked for about 3 weeks met up one day we both took off from work and it was fantastic for about 3 years we only lived about 1 hour away from each other though. lot if ?'s back and forth the first couple weeks, good luck

MIRC Dalnet has a regular room for local chatters in our place.... we the nhave regular Grand Eye Ball.... we often have games, sharing, gifts, and lots of fun under the sun since we are just near the beach!!!! it was laways great!!!!
The best part is the GROUP HUG and GROUP PICTURE!!!!
