I usually wear black eyeliner and today a lady from class told me she don't think people with dark skin complexions should be wearin that colour she goes on and said that dark brown will look best .true or false I have simular complexion to Kelly Rowland and my eyes aren't small either and there slanted.

Girl, you should have looked at her Ms. Thang and said Puh-leeeeeze. Don't let no stupid comment like that start you in questioning yourself on how you look. Little Mama was probably just hatin' because you was doing you and wanted to make you feel like she already was. I am your exact complexion and you can't tell me that Black eyeliner doesn't look good with my makeup and on my face. Brown eyeliner pencils or eye powder looks good on our complexion but so does black (even if used as an eyebrow filler as long as it's not heavily applied), but as an eyeliner....everybody basically wears black eyeliner. She needs to worry about her own d--- self and find out what she doing wrong with her makeup. You keep doing you, boo-boo and don't start doubting yourself and how you look because you have no reason to.

hey there..i guess it looks pretty good if in the right propotion..nuthin wrong at all....and what matters at the end of the day is that if ur comfortable with it and at the same time confident enough to carry it well...then there are no if's and but's...just go for it woman...
And if ur feelin very conscious then maybe u shud go for something that will excite u and ofcourse u feel better with..! its as simple as that...besides huw long ha it been sinc eur wearinf it and see that huw many ppl have come up and told u this crap??? give it a thot and go on... and has ne1 closer to u in frends or family suggested nething??? get ur answers and take a decision..
And just remeber that u actually dun have to give such petty things so much time...there are many more things in the world and im sure in ur life that need much more importance and concerntration..

What a rude woman. Wear whatever you like.
But in my experience, black isn't always the best color for eyeliner. It can look good, but other colors can really bring out your eyes as well. The other day I bought a sort of really, really dark violet eyeliner that practically makes my (average brown) eyes look yellow. Experiment with colors, ask your friends, and ignore this mean woman.

You should ignore that lady from your class. Black eyeliner doesn't choose the color of your skin. The tip in using eyeliner, though, is you should know which kind of effect you want to bring to your eyes. If you want your eyes to appear smaller, apply the eyeliner at the inner portion of your eyelids, if you want it to appear bigger, put some on the outer part of your eyes.

different people have different tastes
i guess some people just hate black eyeliner
i think the way you apply the eyeliner has more effect
i think black is the best color for eyeliner especially kohl you can experiment with other colors such as turquoise , brown , navy blue and deep purple. if you want to stick to black you still will look great . i love black liquid liner and kohl and i think most women look good in it if applied properly.

darkbrown either is not aslo good to use for the dark skin individual. The best is the natural brown color. All you have to do outline you eye liner nad then afterwards use a brush just to balance the line..

Snort. Tell that to everybody in ancient egypt. A culture spanning thousands of years can't be wrong! Black eyeliner looks elegant on anyone. That doesn't mean a dark brown wouldn't also look good on you. I'll tell you what, though- as a dayglow redhead, I am so jealous of how good silver eyeliner looks on dark skinned people.

That lady needs to shove it. I have a chocolate compexion, and I never leave home without my black eyeliner. It looks fabulous on me gives me a more cat eye look. Meow. So all in all u rock that eyeliner and look fierce doing it. Dont let NO ONE tell u what looks bad on u until u try it your self. U be the judge. Kisses!

That's just her personal taste.. or she wanted to make herself feel intelligent and big. Anyone can wear black eyeliner.. if you like it carry on!

Wear whatever you want. If you have brown eyes, navy blue looks really good against them.
