Johnny Depp has said before how hed like to play Captain Jack again. Do you think 3 is enough or you hope for more?

Some good responses....I think we need more pirate-type movies, not just with POTC.

The thing is the copany making it have said that there will be only three because the first was to show the friendship between the three, the second film is to show the break up between them and the third will be where the three cement their friendship. To have another film would cheapen the effect. Three is all that is needed, not that i don't absolutely LOVE! the films but it would make me just think that all they want is the money. I reckon a new pirate movie is needed, not the same characters....new characters to fall in love with. And a new story, there would obviously have to be some form of treasure. Could be interesting... Not another POTC though, or a seperate Jack Sparrow film either. It'll be like LOTR, people went to see the trilogy, but the next film The Hobbit i doubt will do as well, same with X Men, the seperate "Wolverine" story i doubt will do as well either.

Pirate movies never did well until "Pirates Of The Caribbean" made it. Just look at all the other pirate movies out there:
Treasure Island: okay but the Disney version didn't live up to the book.
Cutthroat Island: Well made, acting a bit shakey; but still worth watching. Too bad it flopped so badly at the box-office. The video release had about a 5 minute comercial for Cutthroat Island merchandise just to make up for the loss in ticket sales and to clear the warehouse.
Captain Blood: Errol Flynn as the swashbuckling pirate. Has anybody seen this movie lately?
Yellowbeard: Cheech & Chong and Graham Chapman (Monty Python's Flying Circus) couldn't keep this comedy afloat.
The Pirate Movie: The death blow to Christie McNicholl's carreer.

i think the wave of pirate movie has just started with the pirates of the Caribbean. However like all geners they all will go out of fashion but in later years will come back. e.g. Spy movies - James Bond

more for sure... but to many on the same story line is lame after a while... if they spiced it up and gave jack sparrow more adventures
