Games are what make showers fun. For my shower, we bought babydoll diapers and put a tablespoon of baby food in them and our guests had to identify what each was. We also put different baby items in a baby bag and passed it around to everyone. Without looking, they had to identify what the items were. There's also the name game. When ur guests arrive, give them a name tag and 5, or so, clothes pins. each name tag will have a word that pertains to babies, or pregnancy, like diaper, bottle, powder, contraction, etc, and this becomes that persons name for the entire shower. If someone is caught using that person's real name, someone else has to take a clothes pin from them. Who ever has the most at the end wins. Have fun.

When I threw one for my cousin, she had a couple of sayings that she always used (I've been robbed (just joking around when she lost at something), huh, and other things) If your mom has a favorite saying that she says alot, count how many times she says them and then have the guests guess how many times she said it and who ever guesses closest to the number of times, gets a prize at the end of the shower (but don't let them know it is a game till the end). Also scramble baby item words (diaper bag, diaper, clothes, powder, pacifier, blanket, bassinet (well you get the idea), give each participant a copy of the scrambled words (you have the master list and the answers), give them 5 minutes to unscramble them, who ever gets the most, wins a prize.

If this is rather bothering you, seek for suggestion out of your sister and observe if she will be able of move the date ahead. in the different case, wait until eventually closer the time and observe the way you experience. you're pregnant. in case you do not favor to move or do not favor to stay for too lengthy, people will understand. sturdy success and chuffed bathe/being pregnant/birthing! :)

my wonderful then 14 yr old son and my wonderful sister filled a beautiful vibrating bassinet (hey i was surprised, those things WORK to help baby sleep!) with all kinds of gifts for the new baby, a girl. My Mom and other family members joined in and also had a welcome home for us both as we were in the hospital 10 days (we almost died in an emergency c-section, baby was in the NICU).
It was wonderful to be welcomed home and they had decorated the front entrance as well. my son was there more for me than my idiot --now ex--husband ever was.
