Run the free Housecall by Trendmicro online. They get rid of viruses, trojans and spyware for free.
Also Symantec run a free scan, and have "Removal Tools" for various trojans etc. Again for free.
Download and install for free AVG.

Start off with using Spybot (free) and try that. If it doesn't work, you can either:

1. Spent a lot of time (and/or money) trying different software
2. Or format your hard drive and reinstall OS.

I've spent many hours trying to troubleshoot trojans and spyware off of computers and there are times were you will be better off to format it completely down because of the registry being so corrupt with this stuff. Good Luck!

The second one on the list should remove it. Make sure you update it after you install it.

All of these are ones that I personally use and all are free.

Spybot - Search & Destroy detects and removes spyware, a relatively new kind of threat not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware silently tracks your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer.

I don't know if you're familiar with task manager but through it you can stop processes of different apps which are currently running on your computer. Not underestimating your computer knowledge, you can open task manager by pressing Alt + Ctrl + Delete at once on your keyboard to show either a form which contains six buttons one of them named task manager and you click on it or it directly opens the task manager dialog. Go to the second tab which is named the processes tab and click on the User Name column header to sort out the processes which run either from the system or the user name you're using. Click on any suspicious process you don't know and click on End Process to end the process of the program. End every suspicious process that may seem awkward to you. Then go to Run > msconfig and a dialog shows up. Go to the last tab which is named Startup and uncheck all the suspicious processes so that they don't start when your computer starts up. Click Apply and then Close and a dialog will show up asking you if you want to restart your computer. Click Restart my computer and (God willing) the virus will be permanently removed.

check out virusbursters removal instructions: http://www.2-spyware.com/remove-virusbursters.html
there's a list of virusburster files, so you can find them on your computer and delete them manually.
antivirus and antispyware programs suggested above are great, if you want to protect your computer from further infections, think of getting some security software.
