This is the situation I am mother for two children who was not able to give them a gift for Christmas for the past 3 years. I search the Internet for make a wish, the only site I found was for children with life threatening. How about healthy children but the mother got disable. Is there any kind of organization who takes care of this kind of need? I really want my children to have the Christmas they wish to have every year.

Go to the nearest Salvation Army center or church and ask them if they can help you out. You can also check with your local police department and see if they have a Shop With A Cop program. You could also check with your local Department of Social Services and see if you can register with them. At my place of business we would request a family through social services and our whole office would donate money and then a bunch of us would go shopping for the family. It made us feel good to help someone in need and the kids had a great Christmas. Don't be ashamed to ask for help. That's what these organizations are in place for.

They have lots of them.First call or go by the local sherriff or police dept and tell them, believe me lots of good people give them donations to help mom's like you. They have a list. You arent the only one. Then go to the salvation army explain your situation. They in turn will help as well.Do you attend church? Ask the pastor for help. They all are there to help women and men in the same situation your in.Hold your head high ,its a hand up not hand out. Maybe contact your local newspaper, or tv station via email for a possible human interest story. In my community, Needy families are adopted for the holidays, and their christmas wishes are granted. This is a program done by fox28 news

Contact your local churches to see if any of them would like to "adopt" your children for Christmas. You can also call your Human Resources Dept., Aid for Dependent Children, etc.
