there has been a trend of one of the grand finalists missing the top eight recently, as the cycle of the slary cap catches up. however they have barry hall who i regard as best forward in comp. what are your thoughts?

yes i guess Lloyd is right up there too, but he was out injured this year. i think in the last two years hall has gone to another level. should be a good battle next year for the leading goal kicker.

Well that trend was blown out of the water over the last 2 years I mean 2005 sydney defeated west coast and 2006 west coast defeated sydney

as for next year I think the top 8 will be as follows
1 West coast
2 Fremantle
3 Sydney
4 Adelaide
5 western bulldogs
6 Collingwood
7 Geelong
8 Hawthorn

So I think they will be i the top 4 again next year as for Hall being the best I think Fevola and Lloyd are slightly better but Hall is none the less I do feel on his day he is one of the truly unstoppable forwards in the comp as for best up and coming forward I feel that Quentin Lynch is hard to go past (sheer size maybe)

Sydney are good enough and talented to make the top 8 for sure. I think they will make the 8 every season as long as Paul Roos is in charge. As for Big Bad Bazza Hall being the best forward, I don't think so, I still rank Matthew Loyd as the best forward.

Yes, along with west coast, western bulldogs, essendon, adelaide, fremantle, melbourne and st. kilda.
Bazza is a big unit and would be a huge help to any side in the afl, Matthew Lloyd has the best kick and has more years left, i would regard him as best in comp.
Go Bombers!!
