I took it once. It was easier than the SAT, and I didn't study.

However, I didn't do great. If I studied and did it again, I would compleatly have nailed it.

I didn't do well on my SAT and ACT, yet I am going to medical school. It doesn't make you, you make you...so don't stress out.

If the first set of scores is not to your liking, make sure that you invest some time in preparing for your ACT test, so you don't have to deal with this test again!

There are 3 things you need to focus on for your ACT preparation: Content, Critical thinking, and Crisis prevention.
You need to review the basic CONTENT of ACT questions, such as basic geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and grammar rules.
You need to learn how the test is scored and what shortcuts you can take to spend your time wisely and earn more points quicker.
Finally, you need to learn/brush up on your stress management and decision making skills.
Consider getting some help from a book, a course, or a tutor that will address all 3 aspects of test prep.

once you feel ready, about 2 weeks before the actual test day, take a realistic practice test. Apply what you've learned, understand the mistakes you've made, and spend the last week of your studies polishing your strengths to perfection.

good luck!

Took the ACT test ONCE -- rested up, worked hard all through my HS years, and got a high score. Did NOT need to retake -- got to my choice of college, finished my UGrad then Grad Degrees, completed my career, and now ... Finally ... am an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree who is enjoying her HARD-Earned Retirement!
