I figure you all are gamers in this section so I need a little help if you don't mind. My husband loves playing games when he gets the chance. We have an XBOX 360 now and are not planning to get any game systems for a while.

My mother has asked me to provide a list of gifts he might like. I normally get him games and other things he might want but since this is for my mother I would like it to be low-budget. Preferably under $20 per gift. I just don't know what he would like! Gift certificates are great she likes giving gifts that you unwrap. Any suggestions?

something outside of a game would be nice, an attachment for the 360, like a cooling set, or extra controler, dont expect to find anything for under $20 though, things go for at least $50 if brand new

I would suggest something related to gaming but not necessarily for the 360. The First thing that came to mind was a T-Shirt. A quick search of Hottopic.com revealed a Halo 3 t-shirt for $15.

Thinkgeek.com is another great place to find gifts for the technologically inclined. Something from there that is great for gamers (while a little above your $20 price) is a case of Bawls for $31.99. Bawls is a energy drink that tastes good and provides a nice kick for those extended gaming sessions.

To sum up: Try to think outside the box, recommend something that he can enjoy even when he isn't playing his games.

Even with the Greatest Hits for the 360, it's still going to run you around $29.99.

If you really want to get cheap games for the 360, pay attention to the Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, Circuit City, etc ads. Sometimes they will have some games for cheap. But the cheap price also comes with a price. It's usually the crappy games that drops down to 19.99 first. I wouldn't be surprised if Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero drops down to 19.99 because stores might be trying to get rid of them to make rooms for newer games. There's also the option to get used games.
