i've known this girl for a long time now, about 4 maybe 5 years. it was just a little while ago that i reliased maybe we could be more than friends. i know her pretty well, and she knows me pretty well. its just i am afaid if i do ask her out, and she says no than then we wont be friends any longer. there are other problems like how i only really see her once a week, but i need to get this out. if yes, any ideas on how i should do it?

I agree with Firelily.
But I also have another idea.
When you guys are hanging out, casually shove her, and if she shoves back, then there's a chance she likes you, because of the body contact. You can also say I Love You to her casually, and see if she says the same thing.
Since you only see her weekly, say to her "(name here), let's go take a walk."
Maybe you should just be more upfront about it and just tell her that! Girls appreciate guys that are more upfront about it. You'll never know, maybe she likes you too. You only live once!

you should try asking her out. If she says no u guys can still be friends. Don't think she'll start avoiding you just because you asked her out and she is not interested?

Just ask and say if she doesn't want to date you that you still want to remain good friends cause you know that it is hard to find good friends like she is to you.
