I have a Verizon Wireless cell phone and I was wondering is there a way to send text messages from the internet because I live in an area where there is no coverage and sometimes I need to get a message to someone right away. And most of the people also have Verizon Wireless service.

Yes, I send messages from my computer to Edge, Verizon and US Cellular.

Most cellphone providers give you the option to send text emails thru the internet to cell phones. They go in the form of SMS- short text messages. However, they dont get there instantaneously. There is a lag between your typing on the computer and them receiving the message.
There may be another option in Verizon. They are a large group and would probably have plenty of the newer updates for real time text delivery. Ask them.

YES. go to the verizion website and there should be a place where you can select the "send text" and send one from their. (if the other person is a Verizion carrier)
