I really can't bear the thought of it, having to go to parties, having to wear dull ugly clothes etc. I'm not judging people, but I was wondering if being a public servant, or working on a corporate office was something that many people aspire to?

I grew up in a small family business so the idea of having a real boss or dress code is kind of foreign to me

It was never something that i was interested in but i hate to break it to you but in every job you do there will be days spent in an office, wearing dull ugly clothes (actually there are alot of really hot office clothes out there) because thats part of having a career. Whether you are a dentist, police officer, builder or a gardener you will have paperwork to do and will need to sit in an office some of the time.
I rather doing something hands on and have a bit of variety.

I want to work in my own office and thereforeI'd coordinate my own parties and you wouldnt have to wear dull clothes to fit in. But the corporate world offers a lot of benefits that I'd be willing to suck up having to wear an ugly outfit. I'd use my money to buy something nice when I go out on my own.
