In some religions, yes. For example, in Islam i think a man can have as much as 4 wives. But he has to be financially capable in giving all 4 wives and families a decent lifestyle.

it is legal in some countries- arab countries for examples- and some communities- as far as i know the amish communities- but to my mind it is unethical and contrary to the basic concept of love. since love is the bond between two souls, what's the need for more than 2 in a marriage?that is, if marriage is based on love and not interest or if it's not an arranged marriage.

That depend on what country you live in. In most developed countries it is not legal to have more that one wife. As for United States, NOT LEGAL.
