My cousin uses these things called noraforms. You are supposed to insert them, and they dissolve and do something that made any bad smells go away. She swears by them, and says that they're really good, so I hope it helps!

Do you notice it more smelly during your ovulation (which is approx. 2 weeks after your menus). Or is it smelly right before or right after? These are normal times during the month when the odor will be stronger. If you have been checked out by a physician and know for sure that the cause of the odor is not from an infection, then you might consider other avenues. They do have products on the market for feminine odor that are very effective. You'll find them in the same section where they sell maxi pads ect. Are your periods normal? or extra heavy? Is there a lot of pain, or just normal mild pain with your period? These are things to consider if you might have something else going on such as endometriosis which can cause you to have an unpleasant odor when no infection is present. Plus a certain amount of odor is normal. It is supposed to attract the male to you. So you may think of it as being smelly, but to him it may smell wonderfull. But since you are not yet sexually active, this would be a hard concept to grasp. I wear panti liners that have a nice smell to them even when I'm not on my period. You may try this too. And when you wash, use water most of the time. Soap can irritate the area.

try not washing to much. maybe your overdoing it? that is one reason why douching has been looked at as unhealthy nowadays. because it washes away all the good bacteria and the bad ones grow back quicker. In the mornings i wash off with just water in front and in the back (in my "private" area and butt) and at night i use a summers eve feminine wash in front and back as well but just a small amount making sure all of it is rinsed. also i was told by a gynecologist that it is even a good idea to sleep without underwear on (considering your period) because it allows your vagina to "breathe". do you wear minipads all day? if you do, try not doing it, same reason as i just stated.
my best advice...go to your doctor and get checked out. you have to feel comfortable with your doctor enough to ask the weirdest questions and the doctor has to be professional enough to answer them honestly. otherwise how else are you going to know? ask before you are in stirrups (i know, yuck) and your doctor will be able to check things out for you with what is bothering you in mind.

It's in your mind, girl.
If nobody else smells it, you do NOT smell.
