Alayna Briann I took my mom's name Lana and my mother in laws name Luann.She is the frist granddaughter on both sides. Alayna can be spelled Alaina. Thanks

I got on Baby names.com and it says the origin is French spelled Alaina. Spelled Alayna it says American.

I like it, I think it's pretty and unique. I like how you were creative and took your mothers name and your mother in laws name and combined them together. If I took my mom's name... Beverly and my mother in laws name...Michelle, I'm not sure what I could come up with. I think it's pretty and I want to wish you luck with your pregnancy. Happy Holidays!!!

I like Alayna. But the spelling of the middle name is getting to me. It looks like "Brian" at first glance. Maybe spell it Brianne or Breann?
Just a suggestion.

I think Alayna Briann is just beautiful, I wish I had thought of that when I had my daughter, I like it a lot! I like the spelling of it too.

I think if you call her Alayna it will sound so much like Layna that some will say Lana. I know someone named Ana Lu and she is beautiful. The spelling will probably be better as Anna Lou, but I like the name you picked out.

I like it. Someone suggested "brianna". I think that "Alayna Brianna" sounds too sing-songy. But they way you have it is nice. I also like the spelling with a "y". It looks nicer, and for some reason, the pronounciation seems clearer with that spelling.

Personally I am not too thrilled by the name but it is your child and you must ultimately make the final decision. When I had my middle child I named him Andrew Zane and he was to be called Zane. My grandmother asked why in the world I would do that to my child. I mentioned it to her recently and she said that no other name would suit him.
