I don't think book companies do this, unfortunately. Even the Bible gets translated by individual people or groups of people, never book companies. You may have to either do it yourself or hire someone else to do it. Good luck! : )

Then you don't need a publisher, all you need is a translator. Do you speak Portugese? If so, you could do the translation. If you want it printed up like a regular book, there are electronic book publishers who can do that for you, but it gets a bit pricey for just one book.
Still, it's a lovely idea. If you have children or grandchildren, think about getting enough copies done up so they could each have one, plus one for Oprah. It would be a wonderful piece of family history for the kids to have, to enjoy long after your mother is gone.

I am not familiar with any publishing firm -- at least not major firms -- who offer that as an editorial service. Especially with a project like the one you pose here, I suggest calling or visiting the Foreign Languages Dept. of whatever college or university in your area. It may be possible to find a student who might be granted academic credit for the project, and therefore take only a small token payment... or a "starving student" who might do a "trade out". This means they would trade their service translating for some service you could offer. Do you know alot about cars? Do you have a business where you could offer your services in exchange? It could become a "I wash your hands, you wash mine" sort of exchange.

I don't know about a book, but maybe you could try www.dictionary.com/translator to learn.
