I have used two tricks to overcome my dissatisfaction and anger at work.
The first I used when I worked as a file clerk at a law firm. It was mind-numbing and generally awful. But it wasn't coal mining, and I reminded myself of that about mid-morning, every day. So I recommend taking a look around the world and taking a page from the book of someone with great grace and few opportunities - maybe someone at your job - while scanning the want ads and polishing your resume, of course.
The second is one I used when I taught in a really tough high school. Instead of raising my voice, I spoke softly, establishing with my students - hey, I realize this can't work the same with a constant flow of new customers, but hang on - that when I was quiet, I was about to suspend someone.
Here's how you might use the quiet approach: channel your anger and upset into an understanding that this person causing you to feel badly will be moving on shortly, and may have a few moments to reflect on that nice/surly salesperson at the last store. Which do you want to be, and how much will it cost you in effort to be nice when you're feeling surly?
Last point - and sorry for rambling. I also find that I get angry like a dam bursting, and the initial rush of anger feeds more anger. If I pay attention to that outcome and, to mix metaphors, steer clear of the onset of anger, I often feel much better during the annoying contact and afterward than if I had (sheesh, another metaphor?) vented freely.
Best of luck. I promise to be nice to salespeople in stores this season.

I feel sorry for you because the shoppers turn into animals with no loss of rude things to say. Take your breaks and go outside to get away from the noise. You can sit in your car and listen to a few songs and have a tea. Instead of big grouchy jerks, try to imagine them as meek, little field mice. Talk to them like you are the finest person in the world. You will feel more in control of the situation. Best of luck to you!!

Ever see Risky Business? Remember the scene when he is interviewing with the Princeton recruiter and things aren't going very well? Well, hon, sometimes in life, you just have to say, what the f***. Live life, live large, live long. But mainly, just live baby, just live.

walk into the restroom, sit on the toilet, breathe, drop your drawers, then jerk away. Sometimes a good jerk off during the middle of the day is all you need.
