I downloaded and am watching "Electric Dreams" it was about a guy who never has had much in the way of high tech toys or gadgets. He helps design buildings that can withstand earthquakes. But when his friends tell him to get a computer he does.
However when a download goes haywire he decides that the only way to fix it is to drown the motherboard in champagne.. instead of destroying the computer it gives it life... litterally. and it falls in love with a neighbor the guy is too scared to try to ask out.
Great movie and soundtrack.. would love to see a remake.
but on top of that.. we never see any good movies like that anymore. no one uses technology in a love story anymore.

Try an old movie "Liquid Sky" from the 80s. It has love, amorous scenes, technology and beautiful aliens. It's not exactly the same, but it might be up your alley. It was one of my all time favorites.

Logan's Run
(Classic sci-fi, very progreesive for its time. Kinda funny that is has a PG rating. Considering it has violence, drug use, full nudity, and sexual situations it would get an R-rating under today's system.)
Heavy Metal
(They should make a special 3D edition and turn all the 2D animation into 3D CGI animation. Keep the same sound track.)
