My period always lasts for ever about a week is that normal? Well my husband gets in the mood and sometimes we can't resist each other and we do it when i still am on my period about in the last day of it I don't really have any spoting by the 8th day but I still think it's not good to do it when you are in your period. My period seems to last longer if I do it before my period stops Why? I need help please thanks

I don't know why that other person who posted before me was so rude. I don't know why people have to be rude anyway. You never did anything to him/her. Anyways... to answer your question. It's perfectly normal to have a period for 8 days. Does it usually last 8 days or is this the first time you have ever had your before for 8 days? It just depends on the person. We are all different and usually woman know when something odd is happening with their body or when something just isn't right.
Having sex with your husband while you're on your period is normal too. Lots of people do it. It shouldn't effect your period at all. You might want to talk to your doctor about it and make sure though. If you see something or feel something unusual with your body than you need to go to the doctor or simple call them and ask questions. There are woman out there who have their period for 3 days, 5 days, 12 days, It just depends on the woman. Good luck and Happy Holidays to you and your family!

A normal period lasts between 3 and 8 days.

When I was younger - teens, thru 20's, mine lasted 8 days, and came along every 36 days. Then I started taking birth control pills and it went to 4 or 5 days every 30. Stopped the pill after several years but it still stayed at 4 or 5 days.
Now I am done with all that - yay, it is really cool.

You aren't the only one out there. Having an IUD makes your period last longer and it's heavier. Having sex doesn't make it any shorter or longer and will NOT hurt either of you.
I used to have 7 day periods before the IUD. At the end of periods, it's usually spotty and smelly. I would avoid sex at that time.
There are other Birth Control methods out there now, that will also make your period shorter and predictable.

I get my period for about that long as well. The last three days, I usually have it really light. When I went to the doctor he acted as though there was nothing to be concerned about.

the same thing always happened to me till i got on the pill... it's completely normal. i'm not sure why sex seems to make it last longer.... but it's not a bad thing - just annoying.

dont worry about it. its your menstral cycle. most likey lasts from 3-7 days 8 days spotting isnt bad. but yeah dont worry. = )

You should avoid sex during periods. It may harm your husband and may create complications.
