I would definately consider...
Lots of people indeed decide to move abroad on the basis of not agreeing with the direction of their home government. For instance, on the day following George W. Bush re-election, Canada`s imigration Web site received a record number of visits and the majority were from Americans.
Previously, US immigration to Canada ran at about 23,000 a year during the Vietnam War

Not as long as we have freedoms in America. This is THE best country in the world. I can't think of anywhere else I would want to live. Maybe another state, a less blue one, but I wouldn't leave here unless Communism or some other equally abhorent system took root.

Don’t difficulty with regard to the rant. sometimes it basically feels sturdy to get it off your chest. Why are Iraq Veterans seen heroes by the comparable people who protested truly the comparable conflict 40 years in the past? interior the late 60s in the process the early 80s the antiwar flow made it no longer basically socially perfect, yet chick to tutor disrespect for Vietnam Veterans, alongside with incidents of spitting on us and/or calling us “infant-killers.” If fact maximum human beings did no longer participate or work together in this sort of despicable habit. yet (and isn’t there constantly a “yet”), they stood around and watched, and did no longer something to protest the medical care because of the fact the antiwar protesters had browbeat them into silence. interior the mid-80s the yankee human beings have been given bored to death with the protest flow’s boastful habit, and there became right into a extensive backlash against the endured marketing campaign to demonize the Vietnam vets. The antiwar employer became into a great deal taken aback that any one might criticize THEM, yet began backing off on the greater overt abuse and attempting to declare they …”have been against the conflict, no longer against the warrior….” this is BS. i became into there, and their assaults have been exceptionally particularly against the troops who had served. besides the undeniable fact that, they have taken a greater backhanded physique of innovations to criticizing Vietnam vets because of the fact the mid-80s, concentrated on claims that each and every person Vietnam vets be stricken by sever PTSD (and implying that we are all walking time bombs basically waiting to circulate off), that each and every person, or maximum Vietnam vets are drug addicted homeless rejects, that we be stricken by an lack of ability to greater healthful into society, etc…. It’s basically greater BS and unfavourable stereotypes to justify their antiwar place and their unacceptable habit interior the 60s and 70s. interior the early 90s the troops who fought interior the Gulf began returning domicile. Led by the Vietnam era vets they have been welcomed returned accurately and thanked for his or her provider. the human beings who had stood around and watched the antiwar flow vilify the Vietnam vets felt to blame approximately no longer asserting something returned then, and function a tendency to over compensate by being exceptionally verbose in welcoming domicile present day troops. There…. That’s my rant and that i've got self belief greater effective too….
