She was given temporary custody of our then 9 mo. old daughter even though she was in drug rehab. She fabricated many lies about me, but I was able to substantiate many infractions of hers. She was even caught using Klonopin[PDR warns breast-feeding moms not to use this while nursing] while breast-feeding. She's been in drug rehab twice in past 3 years and in hospital 2 other times for suicide attempts. What can I do?

seek full custody of your child--your child is the most important right now. you need to protect the child from having to live with a inconsistent parent as her.
It sounds like she has had a few chances to change & has not chosen to do so.
I suggest that you leave her behind & get on with your life with your child--Give you child a good home--
If after 1 year of her being clean & sober, then maybe give her another chance. She obviously thinks that you will continue to put up with her. Show her that you won't let you child be influenced by this. Good Luck!

Do you want custody of your children or do you really want to get your wife back? If you want custody of your kids first go to your state govt website and see if they have a section on divorce and child custody. You are going to have to be very precise in getting all the documentation you can on infractions your ex wife committed concerning the children. You might want to check your State Univ. law library if you live close enough to do that. Also check on the web for sites for fathers working to obtain custody of their children. Now if you do get custody of your children are you ready for all that responsibility? I know a couple of men who have custody of their kids. Being a single parent is not easy. If you are sincere about this and your background is clean you may just have a chance if you're willing to do lots of work before and after the battle. Oh. and get an attorney who has lots of experience in child custody matters.

Well i respect that you want to try. First thing is get your wife the help she needs. She needs your support counseling and a good drug rehab one that lasts for a long time. She may need years of drug rehab. Are you ready for the long haul? If so..great..your love will guide her in the right direction. Marriage is a give and take..and has twists and turns. Be ready to head to counseling even just for yourself as she betters herself. God bless you all!

Get a lawyer. Have her medical records subpoenaed to show the mental problems she's having. If she has been arrested then bring get a copy of her criminal record. Its a hard road you've got in front of you but for your daughters sake you cannot give up.

counsel her.
there are many centres where drug abuse is handled. don't join her in hospital.
only mental treatment can solve this problem.
always check her and try to make her come out of this habit.
make her jolly and feel comfortable.
its difficult, no doubt but u will succeed.
