These are very mild, but i notice i only get them a couple of daysafter fooling around with my husband- he does not have any infections down there- but he does have this flaky fingernail (it doesn't look bad) but he said it was something from football he had years ago when he was injured, and had a nail infection.- i saw images of this and it described it as the same yeast infection as the one that can grow in the vagina (sorry so graphic) Is it possible that it can be transfered from his fingernail to me? I also know that a yeast infection isn't usually caused by intercourse. The gyno pushes off the ifection like they are no big deal- like it's common Argh!

the yeast infection he has is not on his penis- it is under his fingernail- he had it before i knew him. He is otherwise so healthy- hasn't had a cold or a stomachachein 8 years- lucky bastard!

I wouldn't have him putting that particular finger down there where the yeast infection is.
A yeast infection can be passed back and forth. Use the 7-day cream and have sex during the treatment, it will help him, if he has a yeast infection too.
A lot of times, a man won't know he has the infection.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:
https://bitly.im/aMCZJ
Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

It is possible you are getting infected by your hubby he needs to be treated for yeast infection when you are as he could be a carrier. I don't think it is his fingernail but, he should see why it is still flaky (if it was his fingernail he would have infect himself with it by now I'm assuming sometime in the past he would have come in contact with it. )
You may also want to check your stress level I get yeast infections whenever I get stressed. Also are you wearing anything special for your encounters? This could be the problem restrictive undergarments. I hope this helps.

Absolutely! Oh my gosh...he must get to the fungal specialist to get that taken care of. He needs to take Lamisil. Which is a prescription anitfungal medicine. Don't let him touch you down there. That can be a serious issue if not taken care of in a timely manner. Subungual areas (the area under the nail) is actually the dirtiest part of a humans body. Interesting hey? The nail is a keratinous substance which can harbour millions of bacteria. The situation between fungus' and bacteria and viruses are pretty much the same: For the most part, anything someone has in one part of THEIR body can pretty much be transmitted to someone else, or the PARTNERS body. All these fabulous little microbes need is a port of entry. So, think of it this way.. when one of these three fabulous microbes see a vagina (which is small), the microbe sees it as the universe. A massive playground for destruction. It is paradise for the microbes because it is the perfect enviornment for lots of types. So, you should refrain from sexual anything until it is checked out, and he needs to keep washing his hands--AND HE NEEDS TO NOT PICK AT THE NAIL! You both shall be seen by a doctor.

If your husband is, unfortunately, uncircumcised he may be harbouring and incubating a subclincal infection behind his foreskin and you are passing it backwards and forwards during sexual activity. All men should be circumcised for a thousand and one good reasons, including this matter of yeast incubation. Can't comment on his fingernail, but he should have that checked and treared if necessary.

Those infections are so hard to just isolate. It's not usually transferred from men to women, but from women to men. The causes are from the yeast already present becoming disturbed by many different causes. I don't think you should give up or rule out his finger thing. Check out this web article too.
