That is illegal and is why music and movies are copywrited. Most times the copy will be scrambled or distorted. Some people have written programs to overcome this, but they are illegal to use.

You will kmost definitely need a clarifier betwewen the VCR and the DVDR

Pretty sure they will be copyright protected and most burned copies will look like crap.
