smile so as the see the apple of your cheeks more precisely. Sweep a bronzer lightly underneath you cheek bones to accentuate the apple of your cheeks and slim out your face. Then take your desired color, is usually will mix two, onto your powder brush not those crappy applicators that come with the store bought brands. Tap the brush against your wrist, start off applying less than more because you can always go back over it but you won't be able to take it off when you have more on. after brushing it lightly across the apples of your cheeks making sure to get enough color directly onto the ball but not to exclude the thinner parts either, swipe it softly across your forehead, and the base of your chin. I sometimes will swipe a little of my face powder or baby powder over it to seal in the color. blush is best applied almost immediately after you put on your foundation and before you put on powder it makes your complexion slightly more dewy which is incredibly sexy.

Always go in upward strokes when applying makeup or blush as it tends to pull your skin downwards over the years and can cause sagging. So take a blush brush and start right under the corner of the bottom of the eye and brush upwards to the temple. that is the best way.

Smile and, using a large fluffy clean blush brush, apply to the apples of your cheeks and blend upward. Don't suck your cheeks in and apply it in a stripe, that looks fake! Also, start with a little. You can always add more! Go for natural colors. NO ONE blushes in purple or bright fuschia.

There's a couple of different ways to do this.
- if you're going for a 'slimming' look, grab a darker 'wine' colored blush, suck your cheeks in, and apply to the hollow areas, sweeping the color up to your ears/temples.. gradually fading out.
- if you're looking for a cute, "i just ran a marathon" glow.. go for a more shimmery, pink/peach color. Smile big, and apply the blush on the apples of your cheeks. Again, sweep the color up to your temples, gradually fading out. Some girls like to sweep these colors over their chin, nose, and forehead, too. Whatever suits you best.
Also.. a good test to see if you've put too much blush on :
Stand in front of the mirror, about 3-4 feet away. Now, adjust your eyes to make everything blurry. If you can see your blush.. You've got too much on.

The best tip for blush is to smile. Smile, then apply your blush.
