apparently when my husband and i moved he put the box my dancing shoes(jazz, ballet slippers and pointe shoes) were in into our storage closet outside! they are dirty and have a little mold on the outside of them. i sprayed my jazz shoes and slippers with the water hose and it came off pretty easily but i dont know what to do with my toe shoes. please tell me a safe way to clean them.

i dyed my shoes black(it actually looks dark gray) for a performance so i dont know what will happen with the color or if it would be noticed.

You may try some products for mole removement .

just use a mold remover light cream and after that rub pink chamoline lotion on them. it will brighten the color up and store them in cedar to prevent the mold coming back.

Be careful what you use to remove mold or it will damage the fabric. Bleach will kill the mold but remove the color.

if some of the black comes off you can just go over it with sharpie. actually if the shoes are grey you might want to sharpie them anyways. that's how i usually colour mine for performance.

Buy a new pair of shoes. My friend got marks on her shoes & had to buy new one. Mold, Gross!!!!!

you probably will not be able to get them clean
but you could take a wet rag and try to clean them that way
