Well, its actually a brilliant movement started by the leaders of your own ideology. Its a one-two punch of nationalism they set up in just 3 years. Its really quite brilliant, so you should be applauding thier efforts, as they can even make it stick on a Reagan Republican. First, they prepped by making liberal a four letter word. This 10 year process worked to the tee. Once they had executive power, they quickly established the "with us or against us" policy onthe Commander-In-Chief. Associating against us with liberal allowed them to immediately chain it with the bad connotation of being a liberal and boom, you have yourself a nation that will obey its Republican leadership! Truly amazing, I still have no clue how it worked so well....

Misunderstanding by people of what a real conservative is, I guess is the only explanation I can offer.
Conservatives are responsible fiscally, This president turned a surplus into a deficit.
Conservatives want less government, this president has added more bureaucracy.
Conservatives care about our national security, this president does not care to find the person who murdered 3000 Americans on 9-11.
Conservatives believe in personal responsibility, this president never admits a mistake, and his press blames everything on Clinton.
Conservatives interpret the constitution strictly, yet this president violates that at every opportunity and if someone complains he appoints people to pronounce the violations legal.
Remind them of the difference between liberals and conservatives. Maybe Bush is the liberal!

Ain't it funny? The bushies call me a liberal because I am against him. The liberals call me a conservative because I can't support hin either. So what the Hell am I?
I am not one of anybody's labels. I do what I can to study the issues & decide all by myself what I can or cannot support. Sometimes I think I am part of a dying breed in this era of ,"You are either for me or against me" politics. Glad to hear I have company on this deserted ship.
The only struggle that matters in this world is between the haves & the have nots, Bush is in the pockets of the haves. And considering the Haves make up less than 5% of the population, they gotta keep us fighting each other before we figure out we can royally kick their butts.

It is an effective way to dismiss the opposition. Label them with an abstraction, demean the term around the media, and they become irrelevant. Join the club of those that are put down in this way. We need open dialog and listen to each other if we will make any progress. It is clear BushCo will not permit opposition, as they get their inspiration directly from God. If you disagree you must be a heretic.

because neo cons are not the brighteset crayons in the box and label anyone who disagrees with their party's platform, or ayone who's argument they cant refute as a libneral, commie , trator! I was labeled a trator yesterday on this forum for my posting of the reocrds of service in the military of the republicans and emocratic leadership! I coulnt help its lop sidded! I served in Viet Nam, fought , killed and was wounded for this country, yet some snot nosed kid threatened to report me if i replied to his off line that I was a trator! He later claimed, as I told him report me I dont care, that he was injured in a car accident so he couldnt serve! Yeah right! He could work at the VA, or somethigng anyway they are haters of people they cant intellectually defeat

The term liberal is as abused around here as the term neocon.
I wonder how many of us really know what these terms mean.
