Oprah has mentioned an excellent topic (discussed here before), but brought $10,000 into it.

Can't we pay it forward without large sums of cash?

If you think so, please say how, when, and why.

For every favor, kindness, good deed, sweet smile, offer of assistance, aid rendered, any stranger who went entirely out of their way to help me (in ways they may not even have realized!), the goodness, kindness, and faith of family, and especially for totally unexpected works of wonder by absolute strangers! don't I and you, and ALL of us already owe SOMEBODY SOMETHING?

Chose your moment. Give it ALL to the next one (and the next, and the next, and the next) one who needs YOU.

Yes, we can pay it forward, without any money at all. It's the small things that make the difference, like remembering to be courteous....letting someone with one item go in front of you at the supermarket....bringing a meal to an elderly neighbor....taking in another neighbor's garbage cans on a windy day.....telling another driver that their brake light is busted....putting a coin in a parking meter that's about to expire. It's doing things that no one sees you doing, not because you want recognition or reward - but simply because it's the right thing to do.

It's amazing that people think good deeds require money and lots of it. Inviting a lonely person in for a meal. Not a feast, just meatloaf and potatoes and to share a cup of coffee. Loneliness is a devastating thing and just a small display of friendship goes a long way. Even dropping off leftovers from a big dinner means a lot to an older person who lives on their own. Buy the bus driver a cold can of pop on a hot day. No big fuss, no big expense just a bit of human kindness.

I pay it forward everyday. I get food for homeless people, I buy dog food for animal shelters, I donate to the bell ringers. It doesn't take a lot of money to pay it forward. Helping an elderly neighbor with something that they are no longer able to do easily, all that takes is time.

Pay it forward has nothing to do with money. It's about kindness. I pay it forward by paying for the person behind me's bridge toll. I really don't think it has dto do with the other person. I think it's happiness in myself. To me pay it forward is a way of loving myself and the world.

If it somewhat is commonplace for this team then why could you may desire to show it? point out that it is going to likely be a "dutch" journey (particularly everyone will pay for themselves). Or if obtainable word of mouth is yet in any different case. a worldwide team of diplomats could have an cost account so meal fee not coated.

You can pay it forward in your everyday with kindness. No cash is required. A little warmth goes a long way.

paying it forward is just about random acts of kindness - money is not necessary...but I guess if you're oprah you can afford to randomly give out thousands.
