Not sure they are exposing truths as these truths have been around before blogs. (also depends on what kinds of truths you are speaking of)
I think I'd replace the word exposing with something like "personal truths that are more easily found, read and sought out"
Before blogging the amount of information including personal insight and opinions was much more limited then it is now thus 'exposing' more truths.

Blogs are written by people like you and me and unfortunately they have opinions.
Those opinions tend to creep into their blogs and that can twist the "truth" to their personal perception of what truth is.

And old timer once told me, "Opinions are like armpits. Everybody has a couple and some of them stink...."

They don't!
Some were just at loss and blurr on what it's all about.
Some do not even know how to read.
Some were ghost stories.
It's only for those who need answers with their problems solving in coming up with a solution in planet of apes.
