I have been a food server for nearly 20 years. Of course I make good $$ in tips and the min. wage in Cali is $6.75/hr.

I taught at a private school for 6 years. I made minimum wage the whole time. It was tough to live on, but I loved my job, my coworkers, and my students. So, financial hardships were tolerable.

Yes, in a technical sense. I waited tables for ten years, while I put myself through college and law school.

Technical, because of tips. Oh, and it was like $2.13 per hour, I might add.
