Of course. So has email, dating sites, automobiles, hotels, work away from home, and a host of other things. Cheating was almost impossible hundreds of years ago when communities were small and tight-knit and where wives and daughters were rarely left alone. Actually, cheating is almost non-existent in Muslim countries.
With every technological advance, there will be positive and negative effects.
Cell phones also make bank robbing, terrorism, kidnapping, etc easier. But it also makes stopping bank robbing, terrorism, kidnapping, muggings easier and with camera phones, criminals can be identified and caught and police notified. It also allows parents to know what their children are up to.
Recall that passengers on United 93 called their loved ones on cell phones, as did those trapped in the WTC. Overall, cell phones have been a benefit for society, but there have been costs.

no, morality, or lack there of has. Cell phones have just simplified it. It makes it easier t ocheat I suppose. There is a constant connection to the world outside your home when you are with your other half. Unless it is off, anyone can contact. It does however prove some guilt with phone records or pictures from camera phones. The names can be changed, the nubers cannot. A phone call doesnt mean infidelity though if you are planning on accusing anyone.

Absolutely YES !!
I personally know two of my friends who found out their men were having affairs. The son of my friend answered her hubbys' cell phone, and sounding very much like his dad, he got an ear
full of very sensual comments from a woman on the other end.
He played along, then handed his dad the phone when he came out of the shower and said, "here dad, it's your girlfriend".and did this in front of the whole family.
The rest is history. There was no way he could cover it up any
longer, turned out he'd been seeing this woman for nearly a year.
The other relationship ended too, after she overheard her boyfriend talking all 'lovey dovey" , not to mention the things he was saying. No woman in her right mind can ignore the obvious.
So YES they DO!!

Not only cell phones but MySpace, online dating, lack of respect in relationships. Cell phones are just a minor part of the break-up of the family.

YES! mine actually password protected his cell account JUST SO he could cheat "discreetly". Kept the phone on silent and would retrieve messages only at his office.
Cell phones didn't make him cheat, it just made it REAL EASY to do.
