They should have stuck with Peter Jackson, and by the way RAW DIVA, the hobbit comes before THE LORD OF THE RINGS, so THE HOBBIT is a prequel, not more of the lord of the rings. did you ever read the books as a kid???

I wouldn't say that I'm outraged, but I am disappointed. It's a shame that the whole thing has to end like that. It's not about his ability to direct or how they want the movie to be made. It's about a dispute over payouts for Fellowship of the Ring. Now the movie will be crap because they can't agree on something totally separate!

I'm not particularly outraged, but we'll see if the new director will make the Hobbit better than the LOTR. . . some people were mad that the director changed in the Harry Potter series, but turned out that they like the new director better
