which war game is the most realistic

I don't know of a database anywhere that lists them all as 'war games'.
What kind of war game do you want? Do you want to be one of the men? If you do I suggest Battlefield 2, as it's realistic with regards to 'real' physics and weaponry.
From a operational point of view Command and Conquer generals is great, some of the weapons are sometimes ahead of their time. Act of war isn't too bad either.

Maybe Call of Duty 3 but right now, Company of Heroes is the most kick *** war game out on the market. It's an RTS, not a FPS so you may not like it but it's still intense.
